Capital Mall Dog-Friendly Policy

Capital Mall is dog-friendly year-round and welcomes all well-behaved, leashed dogs with their owners into the center. Please review our Canine Code of Conduct before visiting the center with your pooch. Please help keep Capital Mall dog-friendly by showing responsible ownership and maintaining well-behaved pets.
  • Dogs must not cause a disturbance to other guests or the operations of the Center. This includes, but is not limited to, being loud, aggressive, destructive, or being used to intimidate others.
  • Dogs must be leashed and/or in a carrier at all times.
  • Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet (including retractable leashes).
  • Dogs must be under their owner’s supervision at all times.
  • Dogs are not allowed to approach other guests or dogs unless invited.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the Food Court or the Play Park.
  • Pet policies vary by store or restaurant. Dog-friendly retailers can be identified by a pawprint-shaped graphic in the storefront window.
Dog Waste

Dogs must be taken outdoors to defecate/urinate and owners must clean up after their canine and properly dispose of any defecation.

  • If an accident occurs inside the Center, cleanup materials are located at designated Pet Comfort Stations within the center’s common areas.
  • Owners must clean up after their canine.

If any of these rules are violated, the owner(s) will be escorted from the Center with their dog and the dog will not be allowed to return to the Center. For additional assistance, guests can contact Security at 360.754.7040.

Capital Mall will practice diligence to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the facility; however, Capital Mall will not be held responsible for any legal or other issues that arise from the interactions between dogs and mall guests. Owners are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and will be held legally accountable for any issues that may arise.
